Drowned Hearts

A paranormal horror story of loss and deadly curiosity

“What’ you gonna do? What…“ He looked over the graveyard, then back at Viola. “Aw hell no, Vi!”

“I need a heart.”

“They’re skeletons!”

“Not all. Not yet.”

DROWNED HEARTS is a paranormal horror story, set on a small island somewhere in the north Atlantic.

Viola has lost her parents to mysterious circumstances. "It was the mermaids," she claims though has little luck convincing her grandmother or the rest of town.

But she will show them. She will catch a mermaid and prove them wrong.

The Tale of the Sad Christmas Dragon

A cozy Christmas fairytale written by 19yo me, edited by 32yo me

“The Christmas Dragon?” The girl’s eyes rounded. “I’ve never heard of the Christmas Dragon before. What do you do?”

“Me? I, uhm... I do the, uhm…” The dragon sat down on its tail to think. "I’m supposed to… uhm.” It sniffed, craned its snout back, and started wailing so loudly the girl had to cover her ears once more. “I don’t remember anymore!” it howled.

THE TALE OF THE SAD CHRISTMAS DRAGON is a story I wrote during my senior year of high school, age 19.

I recently re-discovered it and was in awe that angsty-Christmas-hating-punk me was able to conjure such a cute story! I've now edited it, streamlined the story, and made the words flow better, but the main backbone of the story is the same.

This is a story fit to read for kids or just when you need something heartwarming.

Hope you'll enjoy it!
